Botho von Bose
|
Botho is one of nine professionals in the sales and trading team at Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutcheon Limited. Botho joined LOM in early 1973 in Montreal where he had been a partner with an old Montreal firm in charge of institutional sales. From 1975 -1983 he worked out of the company's Geneva office, building the European business in the UK, Switzerland, Germany and Holland. He became president of LOM SA in 1977. After his return to Canada he settled in Toronto and continued his European coverage as well as taking on domestic and US responsibilities. In recent years he specialized in the mining sector. Botho now leads the institutional sales mining team.

Jeffrey Brandes Institutional Equity Trading

Jeffrey recently joined LOM as an institutional equity trader, dealing with European and American broker dealers as well as major Canadian institutions. He brings over 18 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining LOM, he spent 11 years at D&D Securities holding several positions including proprietary and institutional agency trading.

Clark Bushell Montréal Institutional Sales

Clark joined LOM in 1982 and is responsible for bond coverage of Canadian institutions from LOM’s Montreal office. Clark has been actively involved in the Canadian investment industry since 1971. Prior to entering the investment industry Clark spent seven years in the food services industry. Clark obtained his B.Sc. (Engineering) degree from Mount Allison University in 1959.

Malti joined LOM in 2006 as an institutional salesperson. She brings over 14 years of experience in the Capital markets and the retail environment. Ian Mellon Institutional Sales

Ian joined LOM December 2008 as an institutional salesperson. He has over 25 years of experience in the Capital Markets. Prior to joining LOM he worked for Gordon Securities and Johnson Lane in Atlanta. He returned to Toronto as Sales Manager at Scotia Capital then spent a decade at Nesbitt Burns. Having worked at both small entrepreneurial boutiques and bank owned dealers he brings a client list that covers the scope of the markets.

Tim Miller Institutional Sales

Tim Miller joins LOM as an institutional equity salesperson with a background in equity research gained at independent Canadian investment banks. Tim joins LOM from Haywood Securities and has prior experience in investment fund sales and marketing at a global asset management company. His equity research experience in healthcare/biotech and alternative energy sectors are a valuable addition to our Sales & Trading desk and LOM's Canadian and U.S. client base. Tim brings an education in biology, marketing and finance and is currently a Level 1 candidate in the CFA program.

Greg Hartman

Greg is a member of our trading team, providing the link between LOM's traders and our Back Office and Compliance teams, to facilitate daily settlement activities. Having entered the industry in 1980 with Greenshields, Greg joined LOM's back office in 1984 where he was responsible for expediting settlements of the Firms' transactions. Over 23 years with LOM, Greg has amassed considerable expertise in many of the back office functions.

Donnette Thompson Sales Associate

With LOM since June 2005, Donnette supports the Institutional Sales and Trading teams, as well as the Syndication group. Donnette has worked in the industry since 1990 and has held progressively more responsible positions on both the Institutional and Retail sides of the business, including 7 years as Assistant Manager of Syndication at Midland Walwyn. She has also worked as an Investment Associate to advisors working with High Net worth clients. Donnette holds the CSC and CPH designations
