Lawrence is a Special Situations Analyst at LOM. He has extensive experience with companies in the information technology and environmental sectors as a venture capitalist, investment banker, analyst and board member. Prior to joining LOM in January 2008, he was an analyst at institutional investment firm M Partners. From 1997 to 2003, Lawrence was VP of CVF Technologies Corp., a venture management company with a portfolio of IT and environmental companies. From 1993 to 1997, he was President of Resonance Capital Corp., a firm that arranged debt and equity financing for technology-based companies. Lawrence holds a B.A (Hons.) from the University of Toronto.

Connie is a Biotechnology and Healthcare Sciences Analyst at LOM. She brings two plus years of experience in small-to-mid cap biotech equity research at independent Canadian investment banks. Prior to that, Connie amassed over nine years of progressive experience in academic, scientific and medical research after obtaining her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Toronto, with a focus in carcinogenesis and reproductive toxicology, and a BSc (Hons.) in Biochemistry from McMaster University.

Salvador Diaz

Salvador is a Special Situations Analyst at LOM. Prior to joining LOM, he was an Associate Analyst at National Bank Financial. Sal’s previous work experience includes venture capital at a technology- and life-sciences-focused VC firm, corporate finance and investor relations at an internet services company, and investment banking at Prudential Securities in New York City. Shortly after moving to Canada, he worked as an equity research editor at CIBC World Markets. Sal holds an MBA (Finance) from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a Dip. Comp. Sc. from the University of Cambridge, and a B.S. Industrial Engineering from the University of the Philippines.

Consulting Mining Analyst

Jay was the Chief Geologist (Exploration) with Barrick Gold where he was involved in worldwide exploration and development programs, including Pierina and Alto Chicama in Peru, Pascua-Lama in Chile, Veladero in Argentina, and Bulyanhulu in Tanzania, all world class deposits. He also assisted in designing and implementing a ranking and evaluation system for exploration areas ranging in scale from regions to mining districts to individual deposits. Prior to Barrick, for more than 20 years Jay was a Geology Professor at Queen’s University. Jay has worked as Chief Geologist of Amax Exploration Ltd. in western Canada as well as a Research Geologist with Anaconda Co. in B.C. and ConZinc-Rio Tinto Australia Pty., Broken Hill. Currently he is the Consulting Geologist, Chairman and Member of the Board of Murgor Resources Inc. and a member of Technical Advisory Boards of Alba Mineral Resources Plc and Canadian Shield Resources Inc.
Neal Belovay

Neal Belovay
Research Associate
Neal recently joined LOM as a Research Associate. Prior to joining our firm, he gained industry experience working at Deutsche Bank and two summers at LOM. Neal earned an Honours BA in Communications with Business & Co-op Option at Wilfrid Laurier University. He was President of The Laurier Student Investment Club and was profiled in the Globe and Mail. Neal is currently a Level 1 candidate in the CFA® program.
