Michael Fowler has worked in the investment industry since 1987 as a base and precious metals mining analyst for numerous high-profile firms. His coverage list included the major North American gold mining companies. Prior to this, Michael worked as a geophysicist involved in mineral exploration for 10 years. He was involved in the discovery of the high grade Cigar Lake uranium mine in Northern Saskatchewan in the early 1980s. He holds an MBA from Cranfield University, UK, an M.Sc in Mineral Exploration from Leicester University, UK and a B.Sc in Geology-with-Geophysics from Liverpool University, UK. He is a Member of the Institution of Materials in the UK and is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Maria has over four years of experience covering the life sciences sector at Canadian independent investment dealers and is focusing on Healthcare at LOM. Before coming to the investment industry Maria was at Life Technologies, a global biotechnology tools provider, as a strategic analyst for Corporate Development. Maria is a scientist by initial training with ten years of research experience in multiple sclerosis, molecular biology and protein biochemistry. Maria has an Honours B.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences, and an M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biochemistry from the University of Guelph and is author or co-author of several peer-reviewed scientific publications. Maria’s business credentials are from the Queen’s School of Business where she completed the MBA for Science and Technology in 2002.
